Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: June 2026 · Applies to Instagram / Meta platform data

You can have every piece of Instagram-sourced data Gigahat holds about you deleted at any time — automatically through Instagram, from your Gigahat settings, or by email. Deletion completes within 30 days, usually immediately.

What Instagram data Gigahat stores

When you connect your Instagram account through the official Instagram API, we store only what the product needs:

  • Your Instagram username and app-scoped user ID
  • Profile basics: follower count, following count, media count
  • Aggregate media metrics used for your creator profile (average likes, comments, views)

We never store your Instagram password, private messages, or your followers' personal data, and we never post on your behalf.

How to delete your data

Option 1 — From Instagram (automatic)

  1. Open Instagram and go to Settings → Security → Apps and Websites
  2. Find Gigahat and tap Remove
  3. Instagram notifies us automatically and shows you a confirmation code — our systems delete your Instagram-sourced data and you can verify it below

Option 2 — From your Gigahat account

Go to Creator Settings and disconnect Instagram, or request full account deletion. Disconnecting removes all Instagram-sourced data immediately.

Option 3 — By email

Write to support@gigahat.in from your registered email address with the subject "Data deletion request". We confirm completion within 30 days.

What deletion covers

Deletion removes your Instagram connection and all data sourced from the Meta platform. Two things are retained where the law requires it:

  • Tax and payment records — kept 7 years under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST regulations (these contain no Instagram data)
  • Legal agreement acceptance logs — kept for dispute resolution
